Sustainability
Conscious consumerism is an integral part of the business here and we believe in being transparent in these practices at all times. We follow a low-waste business model that emphasises reducing our consumption through every available avenue and this is central to every stage of design and manufacturing. Primarily, our goal is to create beautiful art and design that will be around for years to come. Whether it be a large print or small card, each product is designed to keep and to leave no lasting impression on the earth for having existed.
Here you will find a list of sustainability practices we commit to:
Local Production
Products are produced locally, in-house and through local printing factories.
Plastic-free packaging
Each package consists of paper, cardboard, and paper packaging tape. Sometimes you will see “plastic” sleeves to protect the contents, but these are actually 100% plant-based and compostable, so should be thrown in your organic bin.
Low Waste
Products we reuse when possible: Bubble wrap, cardboard, wrapping paper and more. You might see your delivery arrive in a box from something completely different, this is why!
Sustainable Printing
Paper - 100% Recycled. Made from by-products from sweetcorn harvesting.
Virgin Paper - Used rarely (primarily for personal commissions where printing inhouse is necessary.) From sustainably managed forests. We aim to eliminate the need for this but currently, a suitable replacement is unavailable.
Plant-based inks - This has a much lower impact on energy consumption, and resources to manufacture and it is also readily recyclable and compostable.
Green Energy- 100% wind and solar energy is used for many (not all) products.
Social Responsibility
We believe community and social justice are integral to developing a truly sustainable business model. That is why we commit to engaging in community-based arts events, volunteering and donating time and/or resources to charitable fundraisers each year.
